Founded by the merchants of Przybyłów (owners of tenement houses on the market square) in 1589. Kazimierz is a small town but its monuments are huge. The church stands on a hill, close to everything, it is worth going up.

The charming location of the sanctuary attracts crowds of tourists. We have just over 200 meters from the market to find ourselves in this extraordinary place. The image of the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary from the 17th century blesses, heals and converts all the faithful coming to the sanctuary. The temple has kept the original equipment.

Beautiful place. There is some blissful peace here, and from the walls there is a great view of the Three Crosses Mountain, Fara and not the monuments of Kazimierz from the other side.

The Church of the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary was founded by the townspeople of Kazimierz: Bartłomiej and Mikołaj Przybyłów and its consecration took place in August 1591. In 1627, the Reformed Franciscans settled at this temple, who gradually enlarged the temple and built a monastery. The monastery complex was badly damaged by a fire in 1827. After rebuilding, the temple received many features typical of classicism. In 1865, the monastery was closed by the tsarist authorities for helping in the January Uprising. The monks returned to Kazimierz Dolny in 1928. In the main altar of the church there is a painting of the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, painted in oil on wood in 1600. Long venerated as famous for graces, it was decorated with the papal crown in August 1986.
