The facility was built in 1825 as a Uniate church. Of the Transfiguration by the owner of the local property of Ignacy Zawistowski, marshal of the nobility of Sokólski in the years 1815-1818. When the tsar deleted the union in the lands annexed to the empire in 1839, the local parishioners defended the temple against Orthodoxy for 11 years. In 1850, the building was taken to an Orthodox church. Then the church tower helmet was replaced by a spherical dome. This tower was destroyed during World War I and rebuilt after 1918, but not in full height. In 1920 the church was given to Catholics and was a rector church. In 1946, bishop Romuald Jałbrzykowski created an independent parish here. Divine providence. After 1945, the roof structure and roofing were replaced, the facades and interior were renovated.
