The church Barbara's in Nowa Sól The one-nave building was erected by the faithful of the Evangelical Lutheran Church (so-called Old Lutheran) in 1900 as the temple of the Redeemer. The building in the style of English neo-Gothic was built on a rectangular plan. The main material has become characteristic - yellow brick. A semicircular apse was added to the east. The Gothic gable was decorated with four small towers. On the entire length of the side walls of the temple there are beautiful pilasters (partly embedded in the wall tissue, decorative pillars). The row of slender windows - reflecting the Gothic style - maintains the resemblance of stained glass surfaces. Only the stained glass window filling the altar wall takes on a slightly different form - it presents the figure of Christ the Redeemer. Until 1945, the church was the property of the Lutheran commune. When the parish was founded, Antoni - which took place in 1950 - the temple was taken over by the Capuchins and is a branch church. After the consecration, the church was handed over to Saint Barbara.

A beautiful church.

It looks much older than it really is. It was built in 1900 as the church of the Redeemer. It was created with a view to the faithful Old-Lutheran religion and was a branch of the church in Kożuchów. After the Second World War, the Capuchin Fathers took over the temple and adapted it to the Catholic rite. The patron saint was Saint. Barbara. Currently, this facility functions as a branch church of the parish of St. Antoni. It is a one-nave brick church, built on a rectangular plan with a sacristy from the north and a semi-circular apse from the east. The entrance is reminiscent of a Gothic fault portal. A number of Gothic windows retain the similarity of stained glass windows. Only the stained glass window on the altar wall takes a slightly different form of continuation - it presents the figure of Jesus the Redeemer. The building is built of yellow brick, richly decorated, with a gothic gable with four small towers. The interior of the temple is characterized by simplicity. A semicircular presbytery and a barrel vault make the church seem optically larger from the inside.

An intimate little church, requires a little renovation, a big plus for the evening Mass at 19.30.
