The prison doesn't exist anymore It closed in 2015 It was a tough prison

The prison in Kalisz was the oldest prison in Poland. This building is 170 years old, due to the appearance and climate of the building in Kalisz castle has already been a movie set several times. The climate inside is not repeatable, unless expensive, you will not find it all over Poland. If you can visit it (and sometimes there is such an opportunity) I recommend it really worth it.

A beautiful historic building. It is a pity that the city authorities do not do anything about it

The prison is now closed. It is a pity that this monument is not used for the promotion of the city.
