The opinion concerns sharing the temple. I went, encouraged by the descriptions, to see the temple and museums (parish and regional chamber). Unfortunately, the only thing I can praise is a very elegant toilet integrated into the surroundings, which is important, the only open object that I was able to find there. I was not able to visit the church, which not only closed with four drains but with closed gates leading into its immediate surroundings, quite a strange approach considering your neighbors in the Pszczyna poviat, whom I visited the day before yesterday in Wisła Mała (there a priest opened for me) and Meadow (the church is open and available all day) - also historic buildings of a similar class, also wooden only there tourists are not treated as a dangerous intruder. As for the regional chamber in the former school building, I feel a bit lost, because for e-mail I received information about making the facility available to groups on Tuesdays, while on the rectory I was informed that it is under renovation and will be so for the next 2 years, which confirmed plaque on the building. There was one more place that I was able to see, unfortunately, sharing for fear by another person supervising it (and the facility provided me in her absence) asked not to provide detailed information ... Soon I will not go to Stara Wieś because I don't want to waste time and money on a place that tourists don't want to see.

The most beautiful church in this part of Poland. Built in 1522. Inside, it is entirely painted in the Baroque style. The quintessence of baroque. Very richly decorated. Always worth a visit.

A historic church, beautifully renovated. It's worth taking a look, praying, admiring, or maybe sit for a moment and think, ponder. Whoever prefers.

In the center of Stara Wieś there is a beautiful, historic wooden parish church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross from 1522. This is the oldest sacral monument in the area. The church is of a log construction, surrounded by Saturdays, or something like the arcades, in which the stations of the Way of the Cross are located. The equipment is baroque and rococo, and the most valuable is the picture of the Mother of God from the sixteenth century, which can be admired in the main altar. The high stairs lead to the temple, so the temple dominates over the village and the cemetery, which is located at the foot of the church. Cardinal Kazimierz Nycz's parents are buried in this cemetery, who was born here, was baptized and brought up. The church can be visited in the vicinity of the Holy Mass. It lies on the Wooden Architecture Trail of the Silesian Voivodship. Next to it is the former wooden seat of the parish school, now housing the Regional Chamber.
