A beautiful, large temple in the modernist style, located near the Odra River valley in the small town of Brzezie on the Oder. The nearest town is Racibórz. An interesting fact is that this church and the parish are the last, southernmost parish in the Katowice Diocese. It is worth visiting and visiting this place, this beautiful Temple, to stop for a moment of personal prayer. When visiting this place, it is worth paying attention to the well-kept Temple, and the workaround around it. Everywhere cleanliness, neatness, development. It is all the result of exemplary care for the whole, the local Pastor and Host, Father Bogdan Rek. While in Brest Parish, it is also worth paying attention to the tomb of the Servant of God, Sister Maria Dulcisimma Hoffmann, who is currently undergoing the beatification process. This tomb is located right in front of the church, on the right side of the church, and it is venerated, with candles constantly burning and fresh flowers placed. More information about this site can be found on the websites. I recommend everyone to visit this place, because it is really worth it! 🙂

They are our Saints and martyrs, they always intercede for us. Your life has collapsed? Are you sick? Someone needs support? Every first Friday of the month at 19.30 Jesus is waiting for you, you will be surprised that so much has to say to you ... Straight into the heart!

St. parish The Apostles Mateusz and Maciej in Racibórz Brzezie (Brzezie nad Odrą), a former village near Lubomia, nowadays the Racibórz district, existed already in the 14th century. In historical documents, the wooden church gathered parishioners of Brzezia, Nieboczów and Pogwizdów (nearby villages) in 1340. in 1904-1905, thanks to the efforts of the then priest, a stone temple was built in a wooden place. For many years, the parish did not differ from the others except for the fact that a modest monastery of the Congregation of the Sisters of Mary Immaculate operated in the neighborhood, which was the oldest house of the religious province. She gained notoriety only after the death of her sister Maria Dulcissima, who was staying in the local monastery in 1928-1935, called "Silesian Little Tereska". For her services to the Catholic church, Dulcissima was beatified on February 18, 1999. During her lifetime, everyone liked her, especially the inhabitants of Brzezie, whom she helped and whom she was kind to. Her cult was especially established in the land of Racibórz, although she was known all over the world as a proponent of the cult of Saint. Teresa. The testimony of faith in her power was, among others the fact that in Silesia, during World War II, mothers sewed clods of soil from her grave into the uniforms of sons called into the army in the hope that he would save them from death. Also the Germans fleeing the Red Army took the land from her grave, believing that the intercession of the nun would save them. After her death, "Silesian Little Tereska" was buried in a local cemetery, and then transferred to a tomb near the church, where her sanctuary is now located.
