A Neo-Gothic miracle, over a century old church organ inside the building. Worth noting church bells at 21.00

The temple was built as a Uniate church. The building was built on the site of previous wooden temples, mentioned in 1619 and 1720. The current church was built in 1796-1802 and founded by Wiktor Zaleski (completed by Józef Ossoliński). In 1875, due to the liquidation of the Uniate diocese of Chełm, it was converted into an Orthodox church. In 1919, the building was restored to the benefit of the Roman Catholic Church. In the years 1941-1944 the building belonged to the Orthodox church again. It was thoroughly restored around 1830, and after it was devastated at the end of World War II in 1990. In 2002, the walls and plaster of the church were strengthened and the interior was painted. It is a brick building, built of brick and plastered, representing the Classicist style, facing the presbytery towards the west. It was built on the plan of an elongated rectangle, with a short rectangular presbytery separated inside. on the left and right side of the presbytery there are sacristies with lodges on the first floor, embedded in the church. The church's dimensions are 23.53 meters long and 13.55 meters wide, cubature - 3000 m³, usable area - about 319 m². The outer façades are divided by Tuscan pilasters placed on rusticated plinths. In addition, the church's interior includes entablature with a metallurgy frieze and serration, banding of the windows and the entrance door, and a ribbed triangular abutment with an oculus on the main facade with three axes and a high attic wall enriched with side panels. Above the attic there is still a high peak in the shape of aedicula enclosed in pairs of pilasters, terminated with a triangular bridgehead, with a slope for the bell. The rear elevation is finished with a triangular gable with an ocular. The walls in the interior of the nave are divided by flat wall pillars with pairs of Tuscan pilasters holding a entablature with a trifle and metope frieze. Above is a stucco decoration with headscarf motifs. Similar equipment is placed in the sacristy, where the entablature with a frieze is a balustrade of lodges. The music choir is supported by two pillars with a window sill having identical entablature as in the lodges. There are two entrances to the choir on the left and right side and a small porch in the middle. On the western wall of the presbytery there are architectural divisions of the main altar in the shape of aedicula with two pairs of Tuscan pilasters supporting the triangular abutment. Inside, there are also the remains of classicist polychrome, illusionist Corinthian columns on pilasters, and a rococo ornament over the altar recess. The sacristies include brick, Classicist fireplaces, made in the 18th century.
