Bełżec did not have its parish at the beginning of the 20th century and belonged to the parish in Leipzig near Narol. A wooden chapel was built here in 1901, which served as a branch church until the church was built. Its construction began in 1911. It is a brick, one-nave building on the plan of the Latin cross in the neoclassical style.
During World War II, the church was profaned and turned into a warehouse, and then a nearby Greek wooden Catholic church was used as a substitute temple. Currently, the church is the main temple in the parish of Our Lady Queen of Poland in Bełżec.
