A place as if forgotten. It is worth investing in arranging the area around the windmill, set several benches ......
Paweł Jankowski (05/12/2019)
The local lands have always been known for numerous windmills. It has been low in a small number, and a lot of it is inadequate. Koźlak located in the bend of Wiatraczna street in Kościan is not bad, but time would be great to look after a historic building. The date of the windmill's installation (No. 30) was assumed on July 17, 1819, according to the survival of the bearberry (horizontal cross-beam on which the whole structure is suspended). Other historical data confirms that this two-storey building on a wooden box ordered Jan Przygocki; the contractor was Samuel Franke from Wolsztyn. Soon after, the windmill changed ownership and passed into the hands of Wacław Szpałek. At the end of the nineteenth century, he came to the miller Jan Kostański. He remained the property of his family until 1998. Currently, the family of the Grygier family retains the right to this object. As of today, the windmill captures the lack of wings. But it does not loose its charm, sticking out like a town hall, in a green, littered marketplace in a quiet and elegant neighborhood. It is worth attention and idea before it starts to weigh on a citizen as a ten-meter-long relic, unlike the contemporary world, woven of quanta and zero-one rules.
