The first wooden church in Łaniętach was probably built in 1416. In 1469, a new parish church was built, dedicated to St. Nicholas and St. Barbara. It was a wooden church, solidly built thanks to the efforts and funds of voivode Mikołaj and his wife Barbara. The first brick church in Łaniętach was built in 1643. It was a square brick building, small and low. After 200 years, thanks to the efforts of the then priest and owner of Łaniątki, a chancel, porch, sacristy and lodge were added to the first temple, while the old walls were preserved. In 1879, a great free-standing bell tower was built from the foundation of Rudolf Skarżyński. The newly rebuilt church was consecrated on August 15, 1880, and it has retained this form until today. In September 1918, the apostolic delegate Achille Ratti, later Pope Pius XI, visited the temple. - The first wooden church in Łaniętach was probably built in 1416.
