The Golice village on the Lubusz Land is located on the national road connecting Słubice with Kostrzyn on the Oder, and further with Szczecin. Its history goes back to the beginning of the 14th century, and the first mention of it in documents is dated February 3, 1317. Also, the church standing in this village has a distant pedigree dating back to the fifteenth century. It is a building erected from granite blows with a rectangular body and a tower on a square plan. During the later renovations and during the sacristy's construction, bricks were already used. It is worth paying attention to the ogival finish of the eastern summit and the entrance to the tower from the west side. The church in Golice from the time of the Reformation until the end of the Second World War, like other temples in the Lubusz Land served the followers of Lutheranism. Currently, the church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross in Golice is a branch of the parish of the Mother of God in Górzyca.
