Generally, from what I remember, the church has not changed in the last 40 years. It seems to me that it is a bit more neglected. Being at today's funeral service, at least the priest did not mistake the facts, which I think is a big plus. Generally, the sanctuary is worth a visit.

A great place to pray

The church is composed of a short presbytery closed on three sides, a three-nave, three-span indoor nave corps, sacristy, tower, two tower chapels and two porches on the southern and northern sides of the nave. It was created in three construction stages. The main core of the temple - a 3-nave hall with a presbytery, a tower and a sacristy situated in the northern steep was built during the Middle Ages at the turn of the 14th and 15th centuries. In the second stage, which can be dated to the 15th century, 2 chapels were created on the north and south steep towers. In the third stage in the nineteenth century, two porches were built, the upper floor of the tower was rebuilt and most of the architectural details were replaced. The dimensions of the church: the width of the main nave is 7.55 m, the width of 3 naves is 17.05 m, the width of the presbytery is 8.1 m, and the total length is 36.7 m, built of brick with dimensions of 27.5x28x13.5 cm in a Gothic binding, height tower 66m Patterns for building the church were the prototypes in Kołobrzeg, Stargard, and Gryfice. Thanks to them, instead of the typical rectangular shape, the church in Resko received a projection similar to a square, maintaining the same proportion of the width of the nave in relation to the aisles. The layout of the buildings derives entirely from the local medieval traditions and is one of the links developed in Western Pomerania style. It is a hall whose space is divided by two pairs of octagonal pillars. The interior of the nave is separated from the presbytery by a rainbow arch, and connected to the tower by a wide arcade. There are 3 entrances to the interior: the main on the west side of the tower and 2 portal on the south and north sides of the tower. Noteworthy is the specific form of the pillars, with high plinths, cut rectangular from the inter-arcade side. No other church in Western Pomerania apart from Stargard and Resko used these forms. It is also worth mentioning the vault, which obtained the simplest cross-rib forms in the church, beautifully presented to this day, since it was supplemented and replaced in the 19th century. The presbytery was covered with a star vault with a simple drawing of an apex star. The external forms of the temple are extremely modest. The windows retain their lanceolate cut and profiled jambs.

The sanctuary was built in the late Gothic style around 1400. At the end of the 15th century it was expanded, and in 1697 and 1882, rebuilt. The church was consecrated after the war (June 15, 1945). Thanks to the efforts of the local priest Dean of Tadeusz Damiewicz On March 25, 1993, the Marian Sanctuary was established.
