Perfect place for a walk. Some parts of this forest are remainings of primeval Silesian forest. You can find here Douglas fir (Pseudotsuga menziesii) an evergreen conifer species in the pine family, Pinaceae. Otto von Bismarck first chancellor of Germany decided to introduce this tree in Silesia region (Provinz Schlesien, Prussia - currently in Poland) from seeds of British Columbia (Canada) This king size tree is about 50 m tall and about 130 years old. A beautiful place at the back of Ochojec, in the direction of Książenice. Almost a canyon in the middle of a forest with a small stream, surrounded by a beautiful old tree stand. The place is quite virgin, you have to look for a safe way down. On the forest road passing near the circle of information boards devoted to this place. It's definitely worth visiting at different times of the year.

Nice place for a Sunday walk, there are no signposts to the forest with a bridge

I discovered Deep Pits many years ago. I visited this area several times. Every time I check how my friends are doing - old, handsome beeches growing close to each other on not very large terrain, settling a small hill along the forest path. Regardless of the season, I take photos and panoramas documenting slowly changing changes in the environment. I get a lot of energy from this place. I recommend walking under the beech trees with their heads raised and their eyes staring at the crowns of powerful trees that inspire admiration.
