Church of Sts. Nicholas

The church Nicholas in Chełmża is a Gothic church built at the turn of the thirteenth and fourteenth century. It was rebuilt after the war damage and rebuilt in the 19th century, when neo-Gothic elements were added. Originally it was a parish church (parish church) and a cemetery church for Chełmża. In 1824, the church was purchased by the King of Prussia and in 1827 handed over to the local Evangelical community. After 1945, it was again taken over by Catholics and became a affiliate church. It is a gothic three nave building, made of brick, with stone in the lower parts of the walls. It has a massive tower on the west side. The presbytery is covered with a rib vault from the 14th century, while the naves are covered with wooden beam ceilings.
