A chapel in the countryside, an important place.

Place for chapel construction was donated by Władysław Boguta. The construction manager was Jan Trynkiewicz, father of Marian. The shrine represents the so-called type of house chapels. The building is free-standing, facing the main street. Built on a rectangular projection with dimensions (4.8m x 3.8m). The foundation was made of local limestone, obtained from a quarry in the field of Bronisław Dysia and Stanisław Pastuszak, which was located on the border of Borkowizna and Tomaszówka. The main part of the building was built of red brick. The brick was delivered from an unknown place. It can be learned from the account of Kazimierz Janczak that he was bringing a brick with a horse-drawn carriage from the railway station in Niedrzwica Duży. The truss consists of rafters joined from three parts thus forming a semicircle. It is covered with a tent roof. Single-leaf semi-circular doors, glazed in the upper part, lead to the interior of the chapel. Two semi-circular window openings are located centrally in the eastern and western walls. They have a visible cross of glass with a texture identical to the old interior door fillings in single-family homes. The windows that are now planted have already been replaced. On the left and right of the door there are symmetrical niches, framed and glazed, nowadays artificial flower decorations have been inserted. At the top of the terry wall, in the niche above the cornice beam, there is a small sculpture of a white and red angel. The top of the shrine (in the 70s) at the top had a steel cross with a double beam and double arms. At the intersection of the vertical beam and arms was a small ring. The main element of the interior is a modest altar. On the altar there are images of popes - from the left Benedict XVI and John Paul II on the right. Due to the abdication of Benedict XVI, the altar should also include the image of the current Pope, Francis. Two candlesticks complete the altar. There are benches by the walls on both sides under the windows. Above them, closer to the altar, two paintings: Mother of God Weeping and Jesus praying in Ogrójiec. In the upper left corner of the altar hangs the Image of Merciful Jesus. On the opposite side is the image of Our Lady of Perpetual Help. The floor is lined with light terracotta with a rough structure. In the middle between the benches is a carpet. The vault is barrel-shaped. The whole interior has been plastered and painted. The original facade was smooth, then it was refreshed and the plaster was speckled with a broom. Currently, the facade of the chapel is cream-colored. The first fence of the chapel was wooden. The passage of time made it necessary to replace it with a more durable one - steel. Its distance from the walls of the building changed in relation to the original fence. The space around the chapel has been reduced, leaving lindens outside. Lucjan Tymiński made them in his own forge. The material for the steel fence probably came from factory waste - moldings. In the 80's the fence was cleaned and painted again. Steps leading into the interior were made when replacing the fence. Electricity was most probably connected to the chapel in the 1960s. The contract for the supply of electricity was met by: Andrzej Cebula, Adam Dyś and Wacław Plewik, and now his son Wiesław Plewik. The lighting fee is paid from the annual contributions when collecting flowers for the Lord's tomb. Until the 90s, Helena Pastuszak held a noble function of caring for the chapel, currently she is held by Barbara Plewik and Elżbieta Plewik. The chapel completed in the summer of 1952 was consecrated by the priest of the parish Niedrzwica Kościelna - priest Jan Poddębniak. In the past, the surrounding chapels were made of four limes, planted in the corners of the fence. Probably after replacing the wooden fence with a steel fence, two were planted next to the road. Two lime trees growing from the north were cut down, those from the south were preserved.
