The Orthodox church was erected according to the design of Mirosław Załuski, with the financial help of the Greek Orthodox Church in 2001-2007. Its solemn consecration was made by the leaders of the Greek Orthodox Church - Archbishop Chrystodulos and Polish - Metropolitan Sawa on May 20, 2007. Iconostas and part of the internal polychromy were made by Mikołaj Koński from Łuck in Ukraine. Icons for the iconostasis were written by Mirosław Trochanowski from Włodawa, a graduate of the Postgraduate School of Iconography in Bielsk Podlaski. Mosaics on the outside were created by a team under the leadership of Mikołaj Kundel from Równe in Ukraine.
