In 1666, in the wilderness of Horod, formerly an early medieval stronghold (today part of Drelów), where, according to tradition, St. Onufry, a wooden chapel was erected. Another one was founded in 1760 by Fr. Mikołaj Waszyński. In 1781 it was renovated at the expense of Prince Adam Kazimierz Czartoryski. From 1802, it was a branch of the parish church in Drelów. In 1874 it was taken over by the followers of the Orthodox Church. In 1894 it was renovated, and in 1896 it burned down. Around 1900, a small Orthodox church was built in this place. In 1919 it was taken over by the Roman Catholic Church. From 1920, she was looked after by the "hermit" Józef Miller, who lived here on alms (died 1942). In 1933 the interior of the temple was renovated, around 1985 the church dome was removed and a new wooden altar was placed.

A very charming place, located behind the forest, and around wetlands. The most beautiful spring is a lot of flowers and greenery. I recommend worth a visit with the whole family.

Lovely place! Access by a forest road alone introduces an amazing atmosphere to the place that awaits at the end of the road. The place, its patron and nature all blend in perfectly.
