27/05/2019 I came from abroad to collect my ID card, without which I was unable to settle my banking matters. After a 3-hour car journey from Rzeszów, I arrived at the city hall in Lublin at 16:30. As someone stuck with paper (!) Options to choose a number for the ID cards department, went to the desk and apologizing for the late arrival, presented my situation and asked about the possibility of collecting evidence before you go home. The lady at the desk, exceptionally unkindly, grunted that she did not care what I wanted and that she was here to "zapientaście-do" and that she has one more interest before me. I politely explained again that I am on a trip and I can not stay in Lublin that night, but it is only about receiving the final document. The Lady announced in an arid tone that I have to wait and how to make it before 4:45 PM, "maybe he'll take care of me." But "maybe" because the attention "HERE DO NOT PAY FOR IT" I sat down politely and waited. 10 minutes later, the clerk stated that "today I will not do it" and that I should go. I left the office like the unprepossed at 16:45. After paying 250 zlotys to find a hotel (I was in my wife and small child) I showed up the next day just after opening the city office. Another official gave me a document within exactly three minutes. To sum up, I visit Poland every few years and I was charmed by how this country will change, year from year to better. Unfortunately, the Lublin City Hall is still in the early eighties.
