Great spot for a bit of learning and some beautiful sites. Nice, simple museum with straightforward signs in multiple languages. Beautiful costumes and lots of interesting information about the local community and the economic and cultural history of the area. There's a small cork museum attached as well. And of course there is a delightful garden (and old well) and covered patio with a bar nearby so you can relax and enjoy some laid back Algarve vibes.

Nice little museum in the heart of the old Sao Bras town. Well worth a visit with some great costumes and fantastic horse drawn carts

Fascinating history of Sao Bras de Alportel from the establishment of the town at the beginning of the 20th century through its wartime sacrifices to the present day. Amazing fashion collection and, in a separate building, a free film show and displays about the local cork industry. A real suprise is the farm equipment and carriage display and cafe that does not close for lunch. Great latte coffee for 90c. Interesting well with hand operated pump that visitors can use.

Small costume museum, well maintained. The more interesting aspect is the cork museum which is in the same space
