Orbitur Camping Park - Valverde

Peaceful place, 2km from a lovely beach. The staff was extra nice to us: making sure that everything was going well. We were sleeping in a tent, and were a bit cold, we could have extra blanket and that's waaoo cool! Many thanks!! Warm water for showers, everything was very very clean (they clean everything every 1-2hours!) Don't hesitate :) 👍👍

The best thing about the campsite is the restaurant and bar apart from that it's a very old and tired place that is overpriced, how you are treated by reception staff depends entirely on where you come from, I lived in one of the bungalows and was told to : remove all plants from garden. Remove the washing line. Remove awning. Remove the gate. Strange as other neighbours were allowed to keep them (I gave the plants to the neighbours) Also the water gets cut off randomly without warning. A huge hole was dug outside to fix a water pipe n left there for months and not once did they apologise for the inconvenience or let us know what they where doing. If you take up any issue with management you will be ignored or rudely turned away. Many unhappy residents now who wish to move elsewhere.

Visited during the pandemic and was a glorious oasis away from the more developed resorts but close enough to enjoy the facilities. Clean tidy and modern mobile homes, with Aircon and beautiful verandas.

A bit too shabby, they closed half of their toilets blaming Covid and increased cleaning needs. They also take payments upfront. In our case we weren’t sure how long we stay so had to go to the reception every morning. Not really based on a client trust. I didn’t feel this place was welcoming. We stayed only two nights and moved on to find somewhere nicer. Even though you are 20 min walk to Luz the road is narrow, no space for pedestrians. We walked with a child and it was too stressful. Not sure why council doesn’t invest in a better road with space for pedestrians. It is Europe, but feels like developing world really. Swimming pool was ok, and restaurant staff was nice and food at decent prices.
