Turiscampo is the second Yelloh Village we have used. It has the same high standards as the previous one we visited on 3 separate occasions, which is in France. Turiscampo is situated on a busy road which is quite noisy and, ironically, the biggest, most expensive pitches are nearest the road. It is quite large, on a hill, with a mix of touring pitches and bungalows. In some parts of the site the bungalows seem tightly packed together. The touring pitches are mainly flat. The ground holds water when it rains as it seems to be clay. The pitches have drainage issues - there is gravel on most of them but also grass (and weeds) which was 6 - 9 inches tall on some. We were at the bottom of the site, a row back from the 'premium' pitches. It rained the day after we arrived and it took several days for the water to drain away. The facilities are excellent. The toilet and shower blocks are a very high standard and kept spotlessly clean, there are even childrens toilets and showers. There are kids play areas, a kids club, 2 pools (outdoor and indoor). A bar and a very nice restaurant on site. A well stocked shop for all essentials - and some treats. There is a gym, spa, hairdresser, all reasonably priced. The staff are very friendly, helpful and welcoming. There are bars and restaurants within walking distance. Sunitas Castle is an excellent Indian restaurant 10 minutes walk away. Praia da Luz is also within walking distance - there are shops, bars, restaurants and a lovely beach. Lagos is also close by - an Uber was €6 each way. Buses pass frequently. A lot of people on the site hired cars locally for about €7 a day. We decided to stay locally due to the pandemic but there are lots of nice places to visit. Recommended.

Excellent Campsite. Very good covid restrictions. A very safe place to stay. I'm not into the animation, if you look for a good place for your kids it is great. You can choose your own size of the pitch.

We stayed here in early September in one of the mobile homes on site. The site is lovely and clean, the two pools very pleasant and COVID measures in place. Enjoyed the pilates class too. The site is well situated for exploring the area but you do need a car.

Very nice camp site, spotlessly clean, very friendly staff. Good food, looks like great management to have everything in order....

Nice campsite. Shame there are no BBQ areas. It forces you to eat out every night so a stay here can end up expensive. The male lifeguard was very rude to the people staying there. He grabbed a kid by the arm and kept telling everyone off. The plots are stoney, no grass. So it's very hard to peg your tend down. Otherwise, the facilities are great.
