Centro Comercial Mar a Vista

The photos of previous reviews are of the Mar shopping centre just outside Faro. This is a completely different place of just a few local vendors in Quetaria

The other photos in reviews of this place make it look like a huge spacious modern shopping centre. It is not. You access this shopping centre (I use the words "centre", and "shopping" loosely) through a very run down poorly lit side passage. The interior, from what I saw, had a barbers shop and a Thai "massage" shop, with a couple of dodgy looking chaps sat on chairs in the thin corridor between shops. A lot of the shops were vacant, and it was at this point, about 15m into the thin corridor of the shopping centre, my wife insisted we leave as she felt unsafe and thought we were about to get mugged. Luckily no mugging occurred. However the photos of this place in other reviews made me go round the block out of curiosity to find out where the big, nice looking, shopping centre was. The back of the centre is a small door in a dusty car park, so I've no idea where the other photos came from in the other reviews of this place.

Excellent. Can spend a whole afternoon and enjoy the restaurants, shops. Dogs allowed. Not inside shops but all over and even in restaurant area. You can have lunch,dinner or just a drink and your dog is in the SPA being groomed.

There is no shopping mall here, just a few independent shops lining the street. I'm not sure where some of the pictures for other reviews were taken, but it definitely wasn't anywhere near this area, as all that is here are some apartment building and 5 or 6 stores. Its also not the nicest or safest area to be walking around, whilst trying to find a shopping mall that doesn't exist.
