Quinta das Oliveiras

We have been to this campsite 3 times between 2005 and 2015. Wonderfully quiet atmospheric small terraced campsite. Nice view over the countryside. Nice swimming pool and non-touristy environment. A.o. the beautiful Serra da Estrela and eg Piodao.

In itself a nice campsite, have enjoyed camping. However, our last experience with this campsite closed the door. We arrived in the rain and it would continue to rain. We asked if we could stay in a house for 3 days. No that was not possible, you had to book online for a week in advance! The cottage was empty, was clean but the beds have not been made, we wanted to do that ourselves. But no, we were put back on the street in the rain! We are not going here anymore!

In the evening with the motorcycle drove extra to this campsite. Stand in front of closed door. Winter break? Was on the 26th of October. I have phoned but there were no references to alternative accommodations. I had to look for something new (hotel) and drive in the dark. Please Google: if your campsites listed, then only those with opening hours. Unfortunately, I have happened several times in Portugal .....

Como não sou naturista não pode permanecer muito tempo no local mas pelo que vi está muito bem conseguido.

Small paradise, nice swimming pool. Camping among olive trees, vines with beautiful views.
