A small local centre with a good hairdresser, basic supermarket, household stuff shop, stationers, clothes shop, seamstress, haberdashery and a cafe that does lunches. Useful place to pop into

Old but full of energy. Important for the History of Portugal. Narrow stone streets and old mansions make this small town really attractive. The surroundings are beautiful with green forests. The medieval castle adds a special atmosphere.
