We booked a tour (in English) at this well-known winery expecting to get a full explanation of how grapes are grown, harvested, put in barrels and finally ending up as wine in a bottle. That was however not the case, we were instead given an explanation about the collections of Angolan artifacts that the owner of this wine cellar acquired, followed by a look in one of the cold rooms where wine gets matured. We even got a glimpse of the owner's personal wine collection (albeit behind glass). The next (and last) stage of the tour was tasting three of their exquisite wines (all of which were very tasty in my opinion) and that was a perfect ending for this tour but we were still curious to know how grape juice eventually ends up in a bottle of wine. Or is that not the intention of such a tour?

One of the best winery experiences I’ve ever been to. We had an amazing guide with great sense of humour, fantastic tour around the palace...the 10yr old moscatel is fantastic 😋

Beautiful grounds and lots of good wines to try. Claudio helped us with the wine tasting and the museum tour and really made us feel at home by making it a personal experience. If we did it again we would skip the museum and just ask to see the wine barrels and the vineyard itself! The patron’s personal art collection is impressive but a little incongruous for the wine experience we were looking for.
