Quinta do Pomarinho

One of the top 4 or 5 rural camp sites in Europe, that we've stayed at during almost 3 years (in travel time) of touring Europe in our Camper. As some have pointed out in other reviews, the entrance lane to the site is a little narrow and some of the pitches are less level than others. However, our camper is 7m long and we had no problems whatsoever. The sanitary facilities are in a rustic style, but are perfectly functional, spotlessly clean and well maintained. The hot water showers had the best water pressure we've experienced in a long time (and no 30 second flow cut off either, which is a very thoughtful touch). During our week long visit in early October 2020, there was a good, international mix of visitors, staying in camper vans, caravans, tents and onsite apartments. The camp site owners live on the site and are always available to provide help and advice. They also provide additional services, such as language lessons, walking tours, yoga classes etc. If you are looking for a peaceful and tranquil campsite in a beautiful location, give this place a try, you won't be disappointed.

A great wonderful and special place to camp!! The really camping experience where everyone is welcome and you feel part of a small community. The facilities are always on a highest standard of cleanliness, there is hot running water on the sinks to wash the dishes (!!!), good shower pressure and regulation and the best is that the water is really really hot. The hosts/owners are super atencious, kind and always willing to help. We had a small hiccup on the departure day with our car and Joop was the best help we could have. Definitely recommend and I will come back :)
