Cisterna de Monsaraz

In a fortified rock town like Monseraz the food to be able to withstand long periods of siege was important but to ensure the water supply even more, that is why cisterns were built as it is very well preserved to collect rainwater and through small slopes on the terrace the water fell through the well to the interior, keeping cool, and in the street there was another, wider access.
