Camping de Calheta Sao Jorge

We spent a fantastic week at the camping. The camping is right in front of the sea with an amazing sunset where you can see Pico and Faial. There's amazing natural swimming pool right in front of the camping where you can take relaxing baths and do nice snorkeling. The owners were super friendly, always willing help and made all they could to make you feel comfortable. The camping has a huge terrace that you can have nice fresh cooked meals! The infrastructure of the camping is not new but there are work going on to improve the minor issues.

Wonderful campsite with showers and toilets. Very nice operator with good cuisine. Great view and swimming right next door. I can only recommend it. Costs super low :)

A wonderful place to camp. Two very loving operators who are currently improving a lot. They also run the nice eatery with lots of fresh ingredients and homemade dishes. The chocolate mousse is highly recommended. :) On the day we left, the stove was just delivered. There are washrooms with showers and toilets. There is also a swimming area between the rocks right in front of the door. The sunset with Pico in the background was fantastic. We have felt very comfortable here. We were warmly received.

The managers have just taken over the campsite and set up a very good atmosphere. They have just opened a restaurant there, accessible from the natural swimming pools located just in front of the tents. We had a great time there and the view is magnificent!
