Monchique Resort & Spa

We recently stayed at this beautiful hotel and were overwhelmed with how fantastic our experience was. Everything from the breathtaking views, stunning spacious rooms and fabulous facilities like the pool, spa, yoga deck etc were superb. We absolutely adored the wonderful food and wine from the restaurant and loved tasting all the delicious and creative dishes on the menu. We regularly took part in the activities available throughout our stay and enjoyed them immensely. The instructors for the activities were extremely knowledgeable, so friendly and such fun to be with. They went above and beyond to give us the best experience possible. Every single thing about this hotel was utterly perfect but by far our favourite part of Monchique Resort & Spa is it's amazing staff. They were tremendously warm and welcoming, professional, kind and attentive and went out of their way, daily, to help us with anything we needed. We miss them dearly and will certainly return some day soon.

Lovely hotel with good rooms and friendly helpful staff. The spa was very nice. The restaurant seemed expensive so we ate elsewhere.

This place was amazing, I would highly recommend and I will be back. The staff were very welcoming and couldn't do enough for you.

Stayed here with my wife and 3 month old baby in late September as a last minute trip to get away from UK and Covid. From start to finish, our stay was absolutely top class, from the welcome, to the room, the facilities and the service - it was all first rate. I’m pretty critical of hotel food, and the included breakfast was amazing (lovely pastel de nata’s), and our suite was incredible (thanks to a warm received upgrade!). Above all else, the staff were fantastic. While everyone was great, a special thank you to Constanca on breakfast maitre d’ duty. She welcomed us with a smile everyday, and was so friendly and helpful to seat us with our young baby. She even knew it was my wife’s birthday one day, and brought a birthday cake to the table. Thank you Monchique Spa & Resort, and especially Constanca for making our stay so special.
