A communications museum where one needs to pay with cash - is this a joke? There are constructions going on, so there is an intense smell of solvents in the air.

Interesting place with some great pieces of electronic communication history. The staff seemed shocked we walked through the door. We saw nobody else there except a group of students as part of a school trip which had some kind of separate class, which made for a very relaxed walkthrough. If you have some spare time in Lisbon and are interested in the subject matter, head in!

Very nicely done museum. Good presentation, story of communication is told interestingly from the "start" with good exhibits. Almost everything is explained in English as well and to my surprise I was the only visitor for the whole time.

In the relatively small department of the Museum of Communications under the country's main regulator of communication standards, terminals, various PCs, fragments of mini-computers, telephones and other means of communication are exhibited.
