One of the amazing places of old Smolensk. Once upon a time, a large diaspora of Catholics lived in the city - German and Polish merchants and industrialists. Not much has remained from those times - the church is in disrepair and the cemetery with rickety crosses. We hoped that Poland would give money for restoration, but ..

Poland itself needs funds for the living ... and they do not have time to talk about their ancestors ... It is a pity that even John Paul II (whose face is photographic above the gateway) did not have time to do something ...
