Troekurov cemetery

Old rural cemetery. On the territory of the cemetery in 1841, the Church was built in the name of the Assumption of the Most Holy Mother of God. In September 1927, the Lipetsk executive committee decided to demolish the Assumption cemetery church due to disrepair - “to sell at auction for scrap.” To date, the church has not been preserved. Also on the territory of the cemetery in the very center there is an obelisk and graves with military graves. Here lie more than two dozen fighters of the Red Army. All of them died in the battles for the Motherland in August-September 1942. The Red Army soldiers were seriously injured and were sent to the camp field hospital №4349, located at that time in the territory of the village of Troekurovo where they died. In 2016, work began on the improvement of the cemetery, improvement work ended in the summer of 2017. Looks like the front part of the cemetery in the photos
