Very old synagogue, I don't know if it's under renovation or definitely closed. Right next to it there is an old Jewish cemetery.

I visited here for the first time on the first anniversary (11/26/2019) of my beloved Athletics Coach, the kindest and heartfelt person who lived in this world, not even living a little to 90 years .. - Belenitsky Vladimir Alexandrovich, buried at the very end of the Alley Herzen (left). Eternal memory to him. The synagogue is apparently in the process of reconstruction and is not functioning. Near her I saw the grave of A.Ya. Rosenbaum's parents and his brother. I didn't wander anymore - it was raining and dirty. But the alleys were asphalted and even cars were driving ...

Many famous scientists, writers, doctors, painters, and actors were buried. For example sculptor Antokolsky, revolutionary Vera Slutskaya, Lev Milinder, physiologist Bakst, architect Girshovich, relatives of Brodsky, Rosenbaum, etc.
