Mövenpick Resort Al Nawras Jeddah

This place is a nightmare, avoid at all costs. Way overpriced. Before we even opened any windows, there was a lizard, mosquitoes, flies, AND moths in our room. There were also worms in the bathroom. Thankfully we only stayed one night. Not "Movenpick" quality at all. Our reservation was canceled for no apparent reason, and the receptionist on the phone was very rude. We had to talk to her manager to get it all sorted out. The entire place is outdated, not maintained well, and is in dire need of renovation. There are plenty of other places in the same price range.

This place just can't be a 5 star hotel. Price/value ratio is insanely high. I've been in many hotels worldwide and wasn't dissatisfied that much as here in Movenpick. - checking in experience was unpleasant. Reception building was old and smelly. Receptionist did not speak English. Concierge helped to translate. - Villa shocked me a lot. Everything is super outdated there: furniture, TV, power outlets. It even smells old. Maintenance done very poorly (you can see it on the attached pictures). Bedroom was very small and without windows (located near the entrance door). There was a QR code which guided you to the room food delivery menu. However, there was no English translated menu. I understand that I am an expat in Saudi Arabia and it is normal to have things written in Arabic, but not in 5-star resort hotel for sure. - Swimming pool is not heated and looks old as well with some missing tiles. It is smaller as appears in pictures. Grass has some empty spots and there was some trash from previous guests (!). - Sea view: view is not bad overall. Sunset was stunning. However, the spot between villa and sea had some broken concrete and metal scrap in there. - Staff service. Lady from reception called me in the evening and asked if we need anything. I asked extra bed sheet, blanket, pillows and English menu. She said that it will be delivered. However, after 1.5 hours nothing was done. I had to call again to get everything to the villa. - Breakfast was 3-star hotel quality. - Kids playground was not available as the place was completely destroyed (probably maintenance or renewal). The area was not closed with the wall, so guests "enjoyed" that view. I can not recommend this place to anyone.

Dirty bed, found some spots late at night on the bed, the room smells like number 1, the light switches has dirt on it ( black thing when using for so long without cleaning) . No slippers on the villa, the view worth it, I decided to stay in the villa at daylight only because I will stay outside on the grass . At night, I go outside until I wanted to sleep. On the bedroom, you can hear footsteps of people walking on the sidewalk in front of the villa. Recommend not more than one day because of the view, I had too wait a while to check in, overpriced compared to the ugly and dirty furniture. Worst experience ever. Room 152, and watchout, the side door for the garden doesn’t lock.

Lovely place for getaway days with family, in the weekend it is very difficult to reach during rush hours (night)
