Had so much fun there
The ruins are amazing however the way they are treated and working hours is really bad
Sbitla contains the best preserved Roman forum temples in Tunisia，which were dedicated to the three most important Roman gods --Jupiter, Juno, and Minerva.
This site is unbelievably beautiful, easy to walk, has clear explanations, and a marvel to behold. It's of the beaten path and not as well known as dougga, but next to a major road and worth the trouble. Combine it with a visit to tozeur/mos espa aka the set of the star wars set from phantom menace!
The Roman and Byzantine ruins of Sufetula at Sbeitla is a very extensive archaeological site that does not receive the recognition it deserves. At nearly 100 acres it dwarfs most digs and its layout and the preservation of some of the buildings is to be much admired. Of particular note is the Capitoline Hill and the Forum, which is one of the best preserved in the world. If you get a chance to go, don't hesitate.
