built under the reign of ali pasha in the 19th it is not the oldest. others are as hammam grana 10 s or remimi hammam of the hafside era. kachachin hammam has the previlege of being the closest to the ezzitouna mosque and the main souks of the medina of tunis including souk elatrarine. as tradition wants a hairdresser barber is still working in this magical place

Very disappointed with the experience.
The one who massaged me bargained very hard with me to charge me around 10euros while the massages cost around 3euros.
In addition this gentleman was incompetent, the massage was really bad compared to what I have discovered in other hammam.

Now the oldest hammam in Tunis! Turn right after entering the Zitouna mosque and then straight on, it will be on the left. Colorful entrance and benches outside. You will go through the barber to get there. Even a little run down, this hammam is full of charm, entry 1.50 euros and massage about 3 or 4 euros. Hot and cold water baths, benches for rest after the hammam.
The old man at the cash desk is adorable.
