It is also called «Mosque of the conciliation» and is located near the Faculty of Olives in the old city and this mosque was built by a princess named «Attaf», wife of Prince Abu Zakaria Hafsi. The mosque was known as the "Air Collector" because it was built on a high hill and was characterized by its airspace and the breadth of its space. Princess Atif was a Christian when she built the mosque. She was converted to Islam and was married to Prince Abu Zakaria Hafsi. According to historians, Princess Attaf is the only one who left Christianity and moved to Islam. Princess Attaf also built a school named after the Air University School, and scholars from the Maliki school took the Imamate in the "Air Collector". It is held on the twenty-eighth of Ramadan every year the seal of the Hadith in this mosque.

A long but neglected history
This mosque is not like any other mosque, it is a historical landmark built by Hafsiyya Princess to be a school for teaching students of science and a home for worship.
