Incredible! The moment you arrive to Villa Edo to the moment you sadly need to leave - one word - Incredible! Anne and Mario are the most amazing hosts and make you feel so special you don't want to leave their beautiful, tranquil and magnificent luxury home. They are both a pleasure to get to know and spend time with, we loved our evening catch-ups and all dining together. Both so thoughtful and generous, you never feel like you have overstayed your welcome. Wayne and I will miss you all dearly and thank you from the bottom of our hearts for welcoming us into your home. You receive 6 star service and good from their personal chef Kamel who is a absolute delight to spend time with along with being truly spoiled with his astounding food and treats all day long, he also is incredibly caring and never wants you to lift a finger, nothing is too much for him. We felt like royalty throughout our 2 weeks stay. The property is beautiful in all aspects, from the rooms, outdoor spaces to the salons, the home is decorated so warmly and is very picturesque. Loved the decor and all the beautiful fresh flowers too! Almost every piece and detail of the home have been designed and made by the owners. It is remarkable. The views of the Mediterranean ocean, along with mesmorizing sunrises and sunsets you could spend all day enjoying. Philo the resident bunny rabbit is adorable and you become very fond of her during your stay, she is quite the character and loves affection. The house staff are a dream and maintain the home to the highest standard, it is sparkling clean! We love Villa Edo so much we extended our 3 nights to 14 nights whilst visiting Tunis, you felt at home. The location is lovely, short walk down to the beach and Gammarth with restaurants nearby. Only 15 mins taxi from airport and from Sidi Bou Said which is the Santorini on Tunisia, full of life, beautiful blue and white building and fabulous restaurants with spectacular views. We can't recommend Villa Edo highly enough, it has been the most special experience we have had in Tunisia and my husband and I will definitely leave a piece of our hearts here. Once you step through the vast doors of Villa Edo you are transported to a world of luxury & tranquillity away from the hustle of Tunis. This is not just a place to stay but a place where you feel at home, The attention to detail here is unparalleled from the hand made leather to the super high-quality linen it’s a place where luxury is part of your every breath here. ROOMS I stayed in room number 7 at the back of the property that had its own veranda garden with orange tree & direct access to the pool. The room its self was spacious with a huge bed, seating area and ample storage space. The quality of furnishings from the use of handmade leather to the design of the furniture has been meticulously thought through to give a true air of classical luxury. COMMON AREAS On the ground floor, you can find the beautifully shaded courtyard that is perfect for getting out of the hot midday sun. On the first floor, you find the tastefully decorated lounge area & dining room where breakfast is served. You’ll also find a large outside terrace with plenty of seating and of course a view of the ocean. As you make your way up the outside steps to the pool area this is a true place of tranquillity with fabulous views out to the Mediterranean. SERVICES Breakfast is included in the room rate but lunch & dinner can also be arranged by the in-house chef Kamel. The quality of the ingredients used is always of the best quality & every meal I had was divine. They have a deal with a beach hotel close by that offers a full Hamman service & use of the gym. LOCATION Located about 20 mins from the centre of Tunis in the wealthy gammarth area the villas hilltop location is truly a magical away from the hustle & bustle of the city it’s truly a place to relax & get away from it all.
