Worth of visiting if you are into history. It might give you a different perspective (or inform you from different pov).

First of all, apparently open for visiting only on prior request to municipality (no permanent staff in museum). Couldn't find any current information online, no information on the museum door either whatsoever. Came there on Wednesday at 14:30 and it was closed. By coincidence, a cleaning lady and some more people came there (maybe housekeeping workers) to clean inside the museum, so they let me in and let me look around. They were, although, unused to receiving a foreigner, even though I spoke Turkish to them, so the experience was on that level (waving hands in front of my face etc.). Nobody knew about tickets or admission prices so I could visit for free. Controversial topic of genocide of Turks and Muslims by Armenians, I will not comment on it. Worth a visit if you want to get exposed to this view on the history (i. e. Turkish historiography). Exhibits mostly consist of photos of archaeology expeditions and excavations in the area, and explanatory notes about anthropology and DNA tests of the corpses. Information written in Turkish and English. The monument on top of this museum ("kılıçlar", i. e. "swords"), according to some sources on Wikipedia, is "the tallest in Turkey" but I don't know how that can be true. Lower rating for lack of any up-to-date information on visiting this museum, which makes it quite useless/unavailable as a sight, and my personal impression of visiting there.

A museum that examines the relations between the Armenians and the Turks from the Ottoman times to the present day, is a place built on the basis of the joint declaration of a group of bureaucrat academics politicians and eyewitnesses in the 90s. In the excavations, you witness the story of the Turks who were brutally murdered by the Armenians. There are 5 sword sculptures on the museum.

The 350 m² indoor museum consists of 2 pools and 5 swords of 36 m height. It is built as a green area and a park. It covers a total area of 14,000 m². It is 43.5 meters above ground level. So is Turkey's highest monument. The entrance door of the museum was built according to the Seljuk traditions. The monument rises at the focal point of the triangular land. The curved ends of the 5 swords that are located in the middle of an artificial hill unite above and take the shape of a dome. As such, it resembles the Seljuk mausoleums. Its construction began on August 1, 1997 and was put into service on October 5, 1999. marble brought from different provinces of Turkey were used in the construction of the memorial. However, it was restored upon the aging of the stones and opened to visitors free of charge again in 2005.
