Ömer Halisdemir, one of the 7 children of Hasan Hüseyin Halisdemir, living in Çukurkuyu town of Niğde, spent his childhood in Çukurkuyu town. He worked as a shepherd in Çukurkuyu after school. He married Hatice Halisdemir and had two children named Elifnur and Doğan Ertuğrul. The name of Martyr Piyade Petty Officer Senior Sergeant Halisdemir went to Niğde University, a high school in Etimesgut, Ankara, a middle school in the Yunusemre district of Manisa, a primary school in Kahramanmaraş, an Anatolian imam hatip high school in İzmir, and a school in Yenimahalle, Ankara. He was given to the Imam Hatip High School and to an Anatolian Imam Hatip High School in Çekmeköy, Istanbul. The grave of the hero martyr was visited by 100 thousand people.
