Built in 1886 by the Metropolitan Ionnis during the reign of Sultan Abdülhamit, the church was converted into a mosque after the Greek citizens left Talas through exchange and in 1925, with the transfer of its property. Originally a church, the building was built in a cruciform plan. The building was turned into a mosque by adding a mihrab and a minbar in the south direction. The structure known as Panaya Church was named Yaman Dede Mosque after it was converted into a mosque. There are shops arranged in the form of a tol under the terrace of the mosque. Today, shops serve for cultural purposes.

Panaya Greek church with its former name. The date converted into a mosque in 1925 is not preserved by changing the name and function, I think it should be preserved as it is.

We cannot protect historical buildings, they must be brought into the tourism economy.

It has a very beautiful history. I think it is currently closed to visitors. You can just see disrudab and take beautiful pictures.
