A very detailed model of Izmir's old period is on display. If you are a history buff, you better see.

A museum in the Izmir Chamber of Commerce - 1. Admission is free. I recommend you to visit. Especially the 18th century Izmir model is interesting. Small, specialized museum. It is certain that he will make a contribution to understanding Izmir. Money collection is enriched with important works. There is an attendant to whom you will get information. Know that there is such a museum. You enter and leave the building in 20 minutes. The activity is counted.

On the first floor of the main building of the Izmir Chamber of Commerce, located in the Izmir Pasaport district, İzmir Museum of History of Commerce is a beautiful museum opened with the thought that trade and culture are two elements that complement each other. These ships, which provided trade between the islands in the Aegean Sea in ancient times, usually carried oil. The model here is designed to show the way the amphoras used in oil trade are stacked on the ship. Various ceramic items and trinkets are located inside the showcases next to it. Especially the collection of gold and silver coins is very interesting. The land and sea trade routes of İzmir are shown in detail on the information boards on the walls of the museum. It is clearly seen that the trade center of the Aegean region was Izmir in ancient times. The bakeries, which produced bread during the Byzantine period, printed their own seals on each bread. It is possible to see these seals made of iron and a bread mock-up stamped here. Another showcase includes weaving materials, weights, scales and scales, and old calculators. Laboratory materials of İttihat Pharmacy, the first pharmacy in Izmir, were exhibited in another part of the museum. The Ottoman bills and the grocery debt book from this period are quite interesting. There is a model on the right side that portrays Izmir in the 18th century. It was carried out with great effort and it is obvious that a lot of research has been done to make the model fit the original. It is possible to see the big inns, mosques and harbor in Izmir at that time. Photographs of the Izmir Economic Congress, which took place with the wishes and efforts of Great Leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk in 1923, are presented in this section. It is free to visit this lovely museum.

It is one of the modest indicators of the Izmirians' ability to trade as well as their love for art. This place should be enlarged further and its concept should be developed. People should be allowed to enter more. The artist does not suffer easily from people who love to come to the museum. # LocalGuides
