More than a small village museum. It is not big indeed but it is completely renovated will all the information in English as well. The historical importance of the city is way bigger than its current condition so a visit to this museum is key to understand how Greeks and Romans developed the old city. The entrance was free when we visited. On the negative point, there is no security and people eat and drink inside and touch many of the pieces. I wish this is solved in the future so it an be well preserved.

Mulaka needs to be seen

In 1955, a small museum was established in Amasra with the idea that it would be useful for tourism and all kinds of archaeological and ethnographic objects that could be collected were displayed here in a simple style. The Museum Officer, which was very successful in the collection of antique pieces that were easily transportable, had a small exhibition hall and warehouse until 1970; column headings, architrave, acroter fragments, Roman and Byzantine tombstones, sarcophagus fractures, altars, pediment, pedestal and statue remains. In addition to these, amphoras extracted from the sea, subterranean cannons, tear containers found in the graves opened, pesus and other grave goods and hundreds of money belonging to various periods were also brought to the museum.

The Amasra museum was very informative and beautifully prepared and full of taste. The city is also the first place to stop. It makes more sense to visit later. The museum card is valid. It will not last half an hour.
