Dukat Beyran

This is an awesome traditional restaurant in Gaziantep. They have that 'beyran' soup. It is a spicy soup with rice, meat and natural meat fat that is served on those traditional metal plates. It is not heavy as expected, on contrary: it is very delicious and quite easy to digest. You have to watch the preparation. It is a little show. The side dishes are green peppers, onions, lemon and parsley. All of them are organic and yummy! You have to try the peppers because they are grown in that area and have a very mild, but intense flavor. As dessert, we ordered 'Katmer'. It is a thin dough spread with hands and filled with cream, sugar and pistachio. A must-try! It is very good.

First time trying the beyran soup and it was tasty. It has a dense taste of the fat that the add to both meat, rice and the soup. There is a plain version and a spicy one. Nice attentive staff in a beautiful shop.

Absolutely awesome best beyran soup we ever had. We flew gaziantep just for food and I glad we did that it was really good experience.
