Şemaki Evi Müzesi

The Shemaki House MuseumnnThis house was constructed in the 18th century, by the Turkic families of the village of Shemaki in Iran, who emigrated to Anatolia and settled in Yenişehir. The house was turned into a museum in 1991, in the same state the Shemaki family left it. The house that mayeven be called a mansion, has two storeys. On the ground floor, paved with stones, there is the kitchen and storeroom to the right and two rooms on the left. The second floor is reached by a wooden staircase. The fact that no nail has been used in the house is an interesting detail. The museum is opened everyday except on mondays. Source : Bursa Provincial Directorate of Culture and Tourism.Müzeye dönüştürülen Şemaki Evi, XVIII. yüzyılda yapılmış olup, Osmanlı mimari sanatının özgün örneklerindendir. Batı Türkistan’ın Şemaki kasabasından göç ederek Yenişehir’e yerleşen Türkistanlı Şemakizâde ailesi tarafından yaptırılmış olup, evi süsleyen kalem işçiliği ise XIX. yüzyıla aittir. Zamanla yıpranan bu tarihi, geleneksel bina 1991’de Şemaki ailesinin kullandığı biçimde tefriş edilerek müzeye dönüştürülmüştür. Bodrumu olmayan iki katlı evin üst katında yer alan büyük odanın duvarları alçı ve horasan ile sıvanmış olup, dolap kapakları İstanbul Kız Kulesi ile Sarayburnu resimleri ile süslenmiştir. Üst kat döşemesi ahşaptır. Bu bölümde tavanı ahşap bir kemerle ayrılan “sergâh köşkü” bulunmakta olup, burası evin ve komşuların genç kızlarının sohbet ederek el işi işledikleri mekân olarak düzenlenmiştir. I heard that the house inherited from the Şemaki family in Yenisehir was transformed into a banana. As I was passing by coincidentally today, I saw that there is a restoration work. When I look at it from a distance, it seems like there is no change in the house, but if the walls of such a historical house are reinforced, for God's sake ...

We are in the restoration phase, we are planning to get a good result.

We went, but we couldn't visit it because it was under renovation, but hopefully we will go when the renovation is over. According to the officials there, the renovation would take about a year.
