As a former tour guide in Austria, Italy and Greece, I have to say that Mehmed, my tour guide colleague, did a great job on our Green tour in Cappadocia. Mehmed from Cappadocian Guide was professional, funny and full of interesting information. It was a pleasure to take part in this tour and we highly recommend Mehmed and Cappadocian Guide to everyone visiting Goreme, Cappadocia. Thanks for the great experience, guys!!! Alex

We did two tours with them: Green (in Spanish) and Red (in English). Green one was amazing and we enjoyed a lot, although at the end we spend tome time on a handicraft place so they could get people buying things (none of us did). Red one was the opposite: The guide did not join us for a single visit! He just guided us inside the places and said: 'You have X minutes I wait you by the door'. One of first places to visit was another place of handicraft (this time pottery) and we spent long time there so a couple could think what to buy. Later on, the couple decided to buy so he deviated the tour to return there. This is why we give three stars: medium mark between both tours.

Took the balloon ride for the most affordable rate in Goreme (€140). One of the most unique and amazing things I've ever experienced. They were also very responsive, even at 6.30 am when we enquired about our pickup.

The tour was advertised as tea/coffee, light breakfast, 1 hour flight and champagne after party. The reality? Driven straight to the balloon, with no breakfast or tea/coffee. Flight was 50 minutes, which was spent listening to the walkie talkie blasting in my ear the whole time, and being showered in grit from the inside of the balloon. Also, the stupid go-pro was hanging on a big red sheet, right in front of me for 3/4 of the flight so taking photos was difficult. When we landed, we were served some sparkling non-alcoholic apple juice. About a quarter of a glass. Definitely not worth €230. Imagine my disgust when I found out the normal price was €150. I know I booked last-minute, but this is a joke. Feel like I've been robbed by this agent (Angelos Travel / Cappadocian Guide) So disappointed as this was supposed to be the highlight of my trip in Turkey. In fact, I'm trying to forget it all happened. My advice? Get up at sunrise to see the spectacle of the balloons, for free. No need to spend money being up there too. That way, you can plan your trip according to the weather without having to book weeks in advance.

We had a lovely time and thoroughly enjoyed both the red and the green tour with Kadir. Our guide, Ahmed, was very informative and amazing person. We also took the hot air balloon ride which is an out of the world experience. It is just unbelievable to see 100s of balloons, all taking off at around the same time and filling the morning sky. I highly recommend Cappadocian guide, they really took good care of me and my family leaving us with lasting memories.
