It was built between 1914-1916 by İsmail Kemal Bey, the governor of Maraş. It is known as Sheikh Adil Fountain because of the nearby Sheikh Adil Cemetery. It has survived to the present day while preserving its original features.nnIn the construction of the fountain, a thin yellow stone material of yellowish color was used. The exterior of the building, which measures 3.10x3.350x6.45, was constructed as a square fountain with three facades. The main face of the south face 0.80 m. depth of 2.00 m. two rounded niches. All the niches in the fountain were made with one tap.nnThe fountain is simple with its general lines and reflects the characteristics of baroque art with its arch form and columns. In the inscription of the construction, the kısm moon-star işlen motif is placed on the head of the lines.nnSource: ÖZKARCI, Prof.Dr. Dr. Mehmet.
