Dede Korkut Kümbeti

The Tomb, Located in Masat Village within Bayburt Province Borders, is the Center of Interest for Visitors at Certain Times of the Year. This place is at least 30-40 kilometers from the shrine of Dede Korkut, this place is on the main road of Bayburt, no place near the place where you've marked, so you can ask for a path to someone. Dede Korkut is one of the symbols of Bayburt and there is an International Dede Korkut festival in July every year. This year, the 24th was held between 19-22 July. The opening of the festival starts with a visit to Dede Korkut tomb and prayers at the tomb. A fountain welcomes you at the entrance of the tomb. The local people say that the water is potable, and I drank it too and it tasted good. The tomb was renovated in 1994 and was almost rebuilt. A few stones have remained from the past to the present.
