A mosque from year 1312 in Birgi village, near Odemis town of Izmir city, Turkey

It is a unique mosque in Anatolia, located in Birgi, the capital of the Aydınoğulları principality. It was built in the form of a great mosque and many spolia materials were used in its construction. The graves of Aydınoğlu Mehmet Bey and his sons are also located in the tomb located right next to it. Very interestingly, after entering the mosque through the door, you go down and you encounter a unique architecture. The pulpit, made with the Kündekari technique, is a historical artifact in itself and has a very interesting story.
