We gave up. The last part of the road was very steep and in very poor condition

They should make some path in there. The vegetation was so strong that I didn't see much. Walls and maybe church. Interesting place though and free. Needs also little bit walking in the end to get there.

6 km from Alanya. north of the village of Elikesik; ancient Pamphylia Region. It is popularly known as Sinekkalesi. Strabon, the famous geographer of ancient times, mentions the city as a place where timber used for shipbuilding is obtained, especially cedar trees are abundant. The city is thought to have been inhabited before Rome. It is possible to have a tower made of rectogonal stones at the top point. As the most important ruins in the city; an antique fountain and a pool in front of it, a large exedra with semicircular plan, the rows of seats still visible, the religious building complex and the necropolis. The inscription of Kadesus, emblem of Hermes in some inscriptions in the city, shows the existence of a temple belonging to Hermes. An important part of the reliefs of an embossed tomb stele exhibited in the Alanya Museum were found in Hamaxia. It is known that the city continued to live as a small, coracesium-affiliated community between the years AD and 100-200. A significant portion of the remains belong to the Roman and Byzantine periods.
